$1 million Lottery prize won by federal employees
A group of employees who work for the Department of Defense have had a tradition of buying Lottery tickets on a weekly basis that they have taken part of for the past 10 years. The group won the $1 million prize in the October 28 drawing of the Mega Millions Lottery.
The winning Lottery ticket was purchased from Kum & Go located at 130 Old Route 66 in St. Robert. The group members involved in the win include William Bennett, Matte DeJane, Thomas Rebuck, Andy Scott, Peter Hundt, Ronald Komoroski, Frank Beasley, Peter Sjoberg, Richard Riebl, Tommie Jones, Richard Conway, and Paul Garrett.
The winning numbers were 3-50-57-58-60. When the ticket was taken to the store to be checked, the clerk checked it three additional times to make sure they were reading the results right. Each time, the results showed up the same, the ticket was a big winner.
After the prize gets divided equally among the coworkers, each of them will receive a prize of $83,333. When the coworkers claimed their win, none had spoken of any big plans for the money yet, but all of them were looking forward to getting the money in their accounts.
